INTRODUCTORY NOTES
It consists of all the organs that participate in the function of digestion and absorption of food.
It consists of:
1) The digestive tube or digestive tract that communicates with the external environment and starts with the oral cavity, then the other segments cross the thoracic cavity, the abdominal cavity and the basin.
The components of the digestive tract are:
oral cavity ;
pharynx-oropharynx;
the esophagus;
the stomach ;
small intestine;
large intestine.
2) The appendages of the digestive tube are represented by the satellite glands of the digestive tube, with the role of secretion of digestive juices, which
through its enzymatic content, it participates in digestion processes (salivary glands, liver, pancreas).
