COURSE OBJECTIVES
Explaining the particularities of the nutritional needs of a pregnant woman.
How to diagnose and know the principles of prevention and monitoring of gestational diabetes.
Explaining the main risk factors and knowing how to explain the prevention elements of pre-
maturity and intrauterine growth retardation.
Identifying women of reproductive age who are at risk of nutritional deficiencies and learning how to provide appropriate advice even transient supplementation, if appropriate.
Avoiding nutritional deficiencies (especially in protein, iron,
vitamin D and calcium) and promoting the type of behavior during pregnancy.
Helping women who have a high-risk pregnancy to terminate it.
Detection of eating behavior disorders (compulsions, bulimic attacks, etc.) during excessive weight gain.
Favoring breastfeeding
